      HI I PM You

      gvyong:
Dear fellow parents, Toa Payoh area

Our two girls will be leaving their beloved piano teacher soon due to our family relocation. Their slots are in the early Sunday afternoon.

The girls have been with her for 3 years+. She is very good with children and was very popular when she was with a major music school chain, before moving to private practice.

It took a while for her to have slots for our girls. She can connect with children and keeps our girls enjoying their lessons with results. (Not a disciplinary type teacher)

She operates from a flat in TP Hub/central area. The kids will use a grand piano, in an aircon home studio. Lessons are 45mins and payable per 4 lessons at reasonable 'market rates.'.

We live in the west but will travel to TP for lessons as she is good with our girls.
Interested parents pls contact me for her details. Thank you.

        Hi Parents! 😄

If you're looking out for private piano teachers to teach at the comfort of your home or at the teacher's studio, we are your one-stop portal to engage music teachers specialised in any instruments and examinations. We offer piano lessons from beginners (Grade 1) all the way to Grade 8 for ABRSM / Trinity / AMEB examinations! Unlike music schools, our private music lessons allow more flexibility in terms of duration, pace and content for individual student's needs.

Hi there! I was quoted a monthly rate by a piano teacher for my child. Her monthly rates are fixed, in which 7months consists of 4 lessons, and 5 months only has 3 lessons. Rates are not prorated for the months with 3 lessons. Wonder if this is a common practice? Any advice is much appreciated. Thank you.

Honestly,I cant bear such a teacher.too many holiday, like twice a year is ok for me.When I was doing my Diploma,4 holidays a year.Dec,Feb and March are 3 lessons per month but 4 lessons payable.Diploma charge is 100dollars for 1 hr lesson.Somemore, the teacher is quite talkative.I am v stressed in the lesson.I believe chemistry between teacher and students are v important.

Please PM me if you fit the bill. Thanks

                  Experiment 1 - 9 Months ARSM Course

                  FAQ

What is ARSM and what does it require?

It's an entry level performance Diploma offered by ABRSM for students who have completed a Grade 8 by ABRSM, Trinity, or LCM. You will be required to perform a 30 minutes program chosen from the DipABRSM repertoire list. There is an allowance of 10 minutes free choice. There is no other requirements; no scales, sight-reading, and aural. Playing standard expected is similar to Grade 8 ABRSM.

What is the purpose of this experiment?

I am very much interested to analyse common technical flaws exhibited by typical Grade 8 holders and how to work out solutions that will allow them to perform well beyond Grade 8 level. So the aim would be to get a Distinction for ARSM at the end of this experiment. I had one student already getting Distinction for ARSM, I want to see if the process can even be more streamlined within shorter time frame. Please bear in mind since this is a pure performance Diploma, the lessons will only comprise of technical works and repertoire. So if you wish to prepare additional components required for say a DipABRSM exam, you will have to top up the lesson duration.

                  Who am I looking for?

As long you or your children possess a Grade 8 from any of the exam boards and willing to commit an average of 45 minutes to 1 hour a day, feel free to try.

Experiment 2 - 3 year Adult Grade 8 ABRSM Grade 8 Crash Course

                  FAQ

What is the purpose of this experiment?

As some of you are aware, I am one of the rare ones who actually started learning piano as an adult at the age of 17 years old. It was not easy for me as many teachers are simply not trained to teach adults and also they don't take adults seriously. What I am curious is to see what can a motivated and serious adult beginner achieve under the guidance of
properly trained teachers. So the goal is to go from complete beginner to Grade 8 Distinction ABRSM or even further in the span of 3 years.

                  Who am I looking for?

For the purpose of this experiment, I will only accept students who are 16 years or older, especially those who are considering a mid-career switch.

                        Good day to everyone.

I am a Female Piano Teacher in my late 30s, with an experience of 17 years. I hold a DipABRSM and LRSM in Piano Performance. I stay in the West Area.

I teach from Beginner to Diploma level and have pretty good rapport with my students and parents. :grphug:

I allow my students to have the freedom to choose the pieces they want to learn for their exams and for leisure - even though at times beyond their means, which is alright. :salute:

My students are able to score high or full marks in their pieces and several with a Distinction in the higher grades too. Grades 6-8.

Do Private Message me if you are interested in lessons, I will share my webpage then if you are a real parent.

With permission from my students, here are some Documentation of their practices - not the finalized versions. I don't take complete videos too often too. I hope you Enjoy and Thank you for your time. :callme: 😄
