      IT'S FRIDAY :rahrah:

      Yes! It's Friday!

Going back to my old haunt(Parkway Parade)with the girls to shop around.Wonder if it has changed much.It has been a good 11 years since I last went back there.

And to visit a couple of my teachers at VJC too.Best thing is I got a chauffeur to drive us around for today.

DD2 was quite mad at me though because she could not find her Chou Chou this morning until she saw it hanging wet on the clothesline. No more Chou Chou for her at least for the next 2 days.

Hubby had a medical review at SNEC yesterday (Friday). This time he was attended by the senior doctor....the amazing thing is I got the appointment time all wrong. I kept thinking it is 11am but it was actually 930am. Thank goodness he still managed to see the doctor. Can't believe I could make such a mistake :clubmyself:

Had lunch at PS and then took DTL back.

Wow,maybe you should enter the appointment time into the calendar of your phone so that it will remind you on the day itself.

          So how's everything?

I did insert the appointment into the shared calendar with hubby...but I entered the wrong time :stupid:

The senior doctor said the gas bubble is still in the eye and would take another week or so to disappear...as with all retina detachment cases, cataract is next to fix 6 months down the road. as the op this time wasn't performed by this doctor but another doctor on duty that day at A&E, he was shocked hubby had another retina detachment. Saw him shaking his head when he saw hubby's file.

Mummies, please make sure your kids do their homework under the right lighting and rest the eyes when they are tired. Don't let the myopia shoot up.

Sometimes things do happen but you made it through the day at last.

When my girls do their work, they do under proper lighting.Limit the use of their smartphones to 30 mins and rest for 15 mins after that.

took a leaflet on retina detachment. the following groups are highly vulnerable:
                    -over 40 years old
                    -high myopia
                    can't remember the rest

The sky is very dark now...highly likely to have a heavy downpour :rahrah:

I am in the high risk group. Highly myopic, with lazy eye on the left, and past 40.

I worry about retinal detachment and glaucoma, especially since I strain with my right eye to compensate for the left. And what with presbyopia now. At times I get headache at the base of my head on the right side and it makes me wonder if I am over straining. Since last year I have been seeing a ophthalmologist for screening. I just completed my second-year check and Dr gave all clear. Phew. She informed that if there are no major issues for 3 years running I will be ready for discharge.

If I can do over I will definitely correct my lazy eye during childhood. So that i can spread the burden over 2 eyes and not overstrain one. I try not to strain my eyes these days cos i foresee issues into my senior years.

Do take care of the eyes.

Yes, especially we spend so much time using PC, laptop or hp.
