Need help to compare SST vs ACS.

To cut a long story short, the best advice is to find the best student-sch match.

SST focused a lot on STEM. For ACSI (I'll assume it's ACSI here) it's IB which requires strong writing, presentation and critical thinking skills.

Most SST grads go on to JC to take A level while ACSI students take a 6 yr IB prg. With its unique uniform, SST students are easy to spot and they were well behaved whenever I see them in public. ACS boys exude an air of confidence (I feel that all boys should be like that) and traditionally do v well in the IB.

The sch are quite different in focus and it shouldn't be too difficult to decide on the one that best matches your ds' interest - interest being the keyword here, not branding nor prestige. All the best.

My DS is returning Singaporean doing igcse abroad good in maths and science. He has interest in medical related line. So we are not sure SST students can opt for medicine if there is interest at a later stage.

Hi Santhana, you mean 2 hours camp at SST or the formal kind of interview? :?

Am new being returning Singaporean yes short listed group interview at SST after GAT.. If not DSa else we may need to again via SpRES exam in Sep..

There isn't much discussion here on SGCS. Anyone applied and any news so far. My girl applied via Maths and had since took the written test and interview in July. No new since then.

My daughter is from SCGS pri though we did not do the DSA thingy due to affliation. Heard is 31 Aug results.

Has the interviews for DHS ended? Did the interviewers hinted anything at the end of the interview as a few of Daughter’s friend said the hint sounds obvious whether "no hope" or "maybe got it". Asked my Daughter, she is like everything dunno. Hais

Hey guys! I went for RI Interview and whew it was fun. Some of questions asked were:

Why do you want to join RI?
What is the most important value to you?
What is the most fun thing you've even done?
And the best question:
What is the biggest lie you ever told?

Interviewer liked to oppose everything we(groups of 3) said. Be prepared because they want to see how you can react to unforeseen instances.

Wish me luck on getting a CO from Raffles.

Didnt know that scgs interview ended just last week. My girl went for hers on 27 Jul. Keeping fingers crossed and hoping to get the news earlier than 31 Aug.
