I would guess so as Kay22 has mentioned that now WL letter never mentioned Wl1 or wl2.

If this year 2017 HCI do away with WL2, leaving only WL1, then think Kay22's P6 child should have a high chance, of conversion from WL to CO.

Should I send an email to verify with the school or wait till the clarification session on this Friday? WL could also mean DS has to work hard in order to convert it to CO πŸ˜“
I believe you mean working hard and getting in via PSLE score?

There's nothing you (the child I mean) can do before the school converts WL to a CO...

Hi kay22, my initial thoughts are HCI is placing alot of emphasis on the WL since it was sent out ahead of the CO this morning and the clarification session is held so soon on this Friday. You will probably be able to get answers to many of your questions this Friday. My sincere wishes to your DS.
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts. Hope to hear some good news on this Friday. :xedfingers:

Congrats to all who got COs and WL, celebration for the kids less stress hopefully in the psle. Not sure if this is true, heard fr the other channel this yr the geppers are hardest hit after the moe's announcement. Seems most top schools cut down on geppers intake and are accepting more

talents as the way dsa is intended for. Poor batch they are caught in this transition but i supposed np for then to enter via posting. :xedfingers: :xedfingers:

HCI should have their internal wL sequence base on interview.
It's better to communicate with the school face to face during brief.

DD who is Mainstream was shortlisted for DSA English written test by the school she applied to. During the English test, she saw a GEP girl from her school also sitting for the test.

In the end, DD was shortlisted for the next round ie Interview but the GEP girl wasn't.

If MOE's elimination of GAT is meant to create a more level playing field and revert DSA to its original intention of focusing on specific talents, it looks like it is achieving its purpose for now.
