DD managed to get CO for visual arts as well. So happy, now no need to stress so much over PSLE. Actually only subject DD is weak in is mother tongue and she is really weak at it. So thank God there is DSA, otherwise it will be so sad to be penalised just for second language alone.

My child had received 1 CO and 1 WL so far, waiting for the remaining 3. Once all dust is settled by next week, the whole family would seriously need to have a round table conference to make the decision.

One thing I would like to request every parent - once you had decided which offer to accept, could we all list out the remaining options which we are not taking up, so that other parents who might be on the WL can have an assessment whether their DC still stand any chance as a WL. This is afterall a collaborative forum where we all learn from one another!

is there info on principal's talk? i find it so strange/surreal to find out that results are out, on a forum and not through the school...

Received CO from SOTA for dance, but not sure if to accept it, DD loves dancing but heard the dancers' schedule are tough at SOTA, need to cope with IB schedule and dancers basically dance at least 11 hrs per week, school can end at 12am when there is performance or competition, this was told by a friend's hubby who was SOTA maths teacher. Also, understand SOTA now only allow one science at year 5 and 6, is it true?

Don't shoot me hor, but I read on the web before, natural gippers are smart but have behaviour issues, hence they are being grouped together. :? dont know how true is it?

I think there are many misconceptions about GEP kids. To be fair, many geppers are prefects or CCA leaders in their primary schools, and are also largely responsible for winning competitions for schools.

If one is \"veryscared\" about behaviour issues, then one has the choice not to send their children to schools like RGS, NYGH, RI or HCI, where there are many geppers!!

Tks goodness, my DS is not interested in RI and HCI. Anyway, he has CO from 2 schools, so not \"veryscared\" liao.

double science for those able to manage... its a case by case basis from what i heard at the parents symposium
