They have been announcing the results on 31 Aug for the past 2 years. Likely to be the same this year.

31 Aug is a PH so maybe 30 Aug will be the announcement date for this year.

I called SST and they said the results should be out by next Wednesday. Btw, does anyone know how many students went for the Selection Camps? I tried asking but the person who answered the phone said it was confidential.

Thank for the info. Much appreciated.

No one knows exactly how many students went for the camp.
If i may just make a wild guess, probably about 400. So maybe only 50% of those who went will be selected.

                Just a guesstimation.

Anyway, to have the results announce by next wed would probably be a good thing as well because this week is the Preliminary exams for most schools. Any announcement is better to be kept till after the kids are done with their exams.

Yes Ricvon. I think 400 is a good estimate. If I am not wrong on the day my son went for the camp, there were 20 groups and 4 students per group. I think the chance is 50/50. I was also surprised to know that the teachers took videos of the children too.

The video thing is something that i am not aware of. :?

My DS told me there were about 23 groups for his session and there were 4 including himself in his grouping.

Thank you for sharing the guess. I have similar guess too.

For now, all the best to our children !! Let’s trust that in the event they are not successful, it’s for a better thing ahead!

                        Cheers!
