my thoughts
4 weeks, 4 subjects.
daily revision 4hr for short school days, 2hr for long school day. worried is school also giving homework which eat into revision time.
weekly schedule
- Revision
1.Eng-grammar, sythesis?
2. Mt/Chi-p4/p5/p6 word.
focus more on p5/p6?
memorise compo good sentence
3. sci-guide book
(diversity/system/cycle/interaction/energy)
=>2hr.
4. math-assessment book on weak topic
=> 2hr
5. top school paperx4 (1 paper per week)
=> 3-4hr with going thru
any good comments on area to focus ? -

but some schools set ridiculously difficult questions which can be demoralizing.
Need to build in time to do other schools prelim papers too!
nation wide exam can't be that difficult.
last year, i selected several schools but only circled certain questions. some offer interesting questions for science...good for exposure. then i realized challenging science by janet sim seems more down to earth. -
Do ur think we should stop revision a few days b4 psle? That’s what my colleagues told me. No revision 2-3 days b4 psle.

school homework will eat into revision time. with the weather so hot and humid, supplementary lessons will make the kids more tired. vitamin c is good to build up immunity.my thoughts

when school reopens, teachers will start piling students with past year papers. problem is, students will cross-mark and may not understand why they are wrong. as for open ended questions like science, if teachers do not explain the answers, it is as good as not doing because they are repeated a few times for several schools. -

That I agree! So which schools are more reasonable in terms of their paper standards? maybe just focus on those?

I think it is wise to stop doing those papers the week leading to PSLE. Revision should still go on to keep the memory fresh.. -

Staying away from intensive revision 2 days before psle is to keep sane and calm.taobaby:

The night before psle, lights out early, make the room conducive to rest. -
Daughter is exempted from MT…so I don’t know about Nanyang.
For the 3 subjects, I used Nanyang, ACS, St Nic, MGS (English), catholic high,and SCGS.
Nanyang comprehension tends to be tough. Then i also chose selective specimen exam questions in the assessment book. Also used Top series published by EPH. -
