      Janet

      Is your hubby's eye ok?
Would your boy's minor surgery affect his lessons?

according to the doctor, hubby's retina had a huge tear...which is why he needed to put in more gas.
he still has 10% gas in the retina and has to take care of himself in order not to get another retina detachment again.

son having holidays...so the surgery will not affect academic work. the orthodontist is doing a lot of work on his teeth now...the nail or screw inserted into his gum will support the braces.

Janet, what is your husband's myopia degree?

His degree is 700...according to the doctor, retina detachment could be due to high myopia but 700 is not considered high according to the doc. It could also be hereditary or another reason is because his retina is not strong. In short, he has to look after his eye even more because the retina can be detached again. 6 years ago, his left retina was detached and the doctor who operated on him told me nothing can be done to prevent...now his right retina detached as well. 🤷

High myopia would be in the range of 900 degrees onwards.

When we go through challenges, we become stronger and better

For me, I am 一天过一天; after a few events in Sep, I look forward to Oct, then Nov, Dec etc

We use Faber castell too. I have a colouring book - one book can last very very long. 😂

I see. I have an acquaintance whose retina was detached too. Her degree is 1300-1400 (I can't remember exactly). So I thought only above that degree then can have retina detachment.

                      Starlight,
                      Totally agree.
we must always find something to look forward to...sep, october (hopefully good news from HDB), nov and christmas.

last night's episode of unholy alliance was exciting. so happy Ricky is killed off.

her degree is indeed very high. no eye doctor can explain why retina detachment happens. high myopia is one cause...but 700 degrees is not considered very high. so i guess his retinas are not strong like what this doctor mentioned.
