OT: I used to be ok to prawns. A few years ago, when I ate prawns, my lips would become swollen. Now I eat little prawns. So it may be possible "young not allergic but old becomes allergic"

It is more common for young children to outgrow allergies as they get older and their immune system change. But the other way round - older folks who develop allergies - chances of outgrowing is much lower.

But ST, sometimes a shellfish reaction is not due to the shellfish itself, but due to other toxins on it or histamine overload. If you do try again, make sure the prawn is live before you eat it to see if you are truly allergic to it.

So many people can't donate for one reason or another that if you can, you should. My husband and I can't even though we are in good health, just because we lived in the UK during the BSE (mad cow disease) period. My younger daughter has donated once, but the last time she tried, she was told her haemoglobin was a bit low, so they told her to take iron tablets and try again later. Maybe make a date with a friend to go together?

The problem with BSE is that it can manifest years later, and it seems that the \"whatever\" can lodge in the body for years, undetected. So those who were exposed during the years before it was controlled are not allowed to donate blood, just in case it's lurking the blood somewhere. As long as we are alive, there is some risk.

she is bad...very bad. she was the one who sent assassins to taiwan and killed off 微姨 and 子杰 in episode 1 and a lot of other things. i think more will be killed off as the drama reaches final episode.
