I am curious to know during the interview for dsa, normally there will be how many interviewers and how are the seating like, eg the student will be sitting a bit more away from the interviewer, like ganna interogated or they sit a desk/table width away…

            hi vlim,

for hci, the interview was conducted in chinese by a teacher and a sec4 student. So, 1 P6 student facing 2 interviewers, quite unnerving I must say, and in Chinese too.

for ri, 2 teachers conduct the interview in english with 3 students from different schools.

Sounds different from what I hear from those attended HCI DSA interview, some told me their interviews were conducted by 2 teachers, and were completely in English, not a single question asked in Chinese. But some others got a mixture of English and Chinese questions during the interview.

Thanks for the update. I do not doubt your boy's experience at all. Similarly, I hear this from friends whose sons went for the interviews and there is no reason to doubt them too. I guess it only means HCI does not conduct interviews in the same format for all students.

My son's DSA interview at HCI the year before last year was conducted by a teacher and a student. Two to One. It was totally in English and a very pleasant experience for him. When he left the room, they said to him:\" see you around soon!\". He was very confident he will be in.
