Can also tell kids to do their own ironing.

what if child donch mind un-ironed uniform but you mind?

Ermm.. never occured to me. Kiddos have been conditioned since young. Unis must be ironed, shoes and socks clean, hair neat.

If really they don't mind wrinkled unis, 霸道 mum mode will be activated.

I have a rough cut-off for appearance-related matters in my mind of around 12yo. Before that, I do my best to assert my standards; after that, I close my eyes. As long as there is no smell and it's not too revealing! For school - let the teachers worry about it!

There are days ah boy will take the uniforms off the drying clothes rack or pull out from the piles of un-ironed clothes to wear to school. Upon reaching home, he will remind me to do ironing of his uniforms or to make sure I have the uniform tumbled dry in the dryer, else no uniforms for the next day.

It is a form of respect. When you don a uniform, you are not just an individual anymore. You are representing your school/organisation.

then mum or dad must continue to do the job till the kid think it is A MUST n take over the ironing themselves.
my ds ironed his own cca uniform at the eleventh hour ,coz he knows he need to look super smart for promotion interview !
the way i hang the clothes ,will try to make it less crease as much as possible - so to cut time on iron.
S ince my dh iron - i need to sayang my IRON man more :rahrah: ( cannot anyhow add on to ironload) - next yr upp sec , long pants ... :faint:

I dare not let ah boy takes over ironing his own uniforms, scared he either burnt the uniform or drop the iron, then it is my job to clear the mess caused.

I don’t really care. But I think kids do somewhat prefer their uniforms being ironed. Ironing schedule is once a week. If missed that ironing schedule or somehow run out of ironed uniforms by mid week then just wear un-ironed ones lor, so long uniforms are clean and fresh. No biggie if not ironed.

Kids will only freak out if I asked them to dig out unwashed uniforms from laundry basket because I forgot to wash their PE shirt. Not often lah. This might happen once or twice a year. My bad
