How to stay 'cool' in this hot weather?

[Amberz]

When I was living in Australia and the summer temp got to 40 and up, I foiled the outer walls and windows of my apt to reflect the sun and heat. Wondering if I shd try the same thing now though i can prob only reach my windows since I’m on the 12th flr of a HDB flat. I also spent every possible free moment in the pool. I’m really not sure which is worse, it’s so dry there the heat makes your skin feel all prickly like you’re being bitten by ants all over but here the humidity make you feel all sticky and sweaty like a grease bucket. I’m all for lots of showers and lying naked in bed with the ac on but my pocket isn’t enjoying the bill that comes along with it! Oh gosh I’m suddenly reminded of the old couple (50+/60?) at my apt in Oz who went skinny dipping in the mid of the day! :!: Can’t blame them cos of the heat but really wasn’t a sight we wanted to see!

I am here leh...but indoors no effect la...and when I am outdoors, it rains...

then our sake and for our country, please stay outdoor

:whut: Why? I cannot control the building's aircon leh..... and when I am out...it's just fluke that it rained... You really think I am a rainmaker ah?

Oh sorry maybe I further qualify...when I am outdoor, I am always in the car and if my car is not parked in the open, when I get out, inside the car is also cool so I don't feel it so strongly.. But prior to those raining spells 2 weeks ago....that was bad especially when i parked in the open as opposed to a sheltered car park.

The other thing is even if it rains, it is not island-wide la....so maybe that is why you don't see the rain...

Yooohoooo Tankee and Maid....it's raining cats and dogs again.....I was outdoor for a while today.

All of you are simply adorable and give me a stitch at the sides......

Since all of you are so convinced, let me share the rain chant and dance with you...

Rain chant according to the tune of \"Rain Rain go away\"

Rain rain come today
Keep us cool and heat at bay
Rain rain come today
Everybody wants to play

Here comes the rain dance and it must be with this posturing.....ladies in bikis and men in trunks.......This example is with Tankee in mind...
