Although we are a homestay catered to international students, we have on board with us a private tutor who is conducting his tuition classes at our place fully equipped and renovated just like a tuition center in the living room. He majors in English and is, quoted from him \"willing to put my life on the line that my student's English will improve\" for primary and secondary school students.

It's a pity he's not a very recognized as he doesn't know how to market himself but we strongly believe in his capabilities as we have seen improvements from his students. You can enquire more with us at our website http://heraldhomestay.com.

Any centre to recommend that focus on comprehension, composition and oral?

I recommend Ms Agnes of Writers @ Work. Not sure where she is teaching now but there are 2 centers, one at Clementi Ave 2 & the other at Kings Arcade (Bt Timah).

Most of my DD’s classmates go to learning lab for English.

          Worth a try.

Hi, if you are interested, you can contact my dd's ex tutor Miss Goh. Experienced and passionate, and has her own teaching methodology that suit my dd's learning then. She can be contacted at 93989072.

                        Hi,

i know some parents purchase used worksheets (esp from popular ctrs like TLL, MS etc) to coach own kids. Am contemplating to do that...

Can anyone share if it helps to use such USED worksheets? Cos these materials would have LOTS of underlined/highlighting/remarks etc etc. So the parents gotta use correction tape to blank off those answers/markings etc...?

(This seems like a trivial qn to ask but just wanna hear from those who do that..if that is beneficial..) :?
                        thanks.
