Me Time!

Opps I just realised that ur son did feedback about his itchy throat. Maybe ur hubby didn’t catch that.

TheAnswer:
Same for my DH.Have to tell him a few times about something before he gets the point.Eg, he will insist on going out even though I am not feeling well.Have to repeat myself several times.
I will just tell him I’m sick. Men need to be told directly. Dun play mind games with them. You annoy urself only.Jennifer:
Janet,
Your hubby not crazy lah, maybe just insensitive like most men are.
Ah boy n I ate down with flu, elder boy feedback he is having a itchy throat.
I guess none of us display enough sickness symptoms for hubby to take notice easily.

It’s like groceries I dun want to carry I will just say I’m weak and no strength. Sometimes when I bring my crumpler bag when I go out with hubby I ask my hubby to carry also. Unisex bag. And my reason is I want to walk freely without a load. No issue he will carry despite carrying other stuff already. Just tell them. -
My hubby actually believes me when I say I have no strength. Kinda strange cos he knows I go gym every weekday.

My husband used to run the house like an army camp. Was quite dictatorial and until DDs got back at him for me and I told him the problem,he slowly mellowed down over the years. -

Well, some men need very clear message whereas some men are more attentive.
Ah boy is blowing his nose like an elephant and coughing so violently to force the phlegm out (that I mistook for vomitting episodes) day n night. Yet hubby thinks it is due to his usual allergy reactions. -
TheAnswer:
it was due to the heat.janet88:
Hubby wanted to drive through little India...told him I am not up to it nor have any mood to see so many people. He's really a little nuts...I have been unwell the whole day and he wants to see little India.
What happened? Is it cos of the heat? Drink more water.
was feeling very weak and sleeping whole of yesterday, can't eat and body was aching.
i was so mad with him for even thinking of driving through little india. even my kids are more sensitive than him...they asked him, 'daddy, do you know mummy has been sick the whole day and you want to go out?'. -
Some men are just like that.
I can tell DH so many times that kids are not well. At night before bed I will tell him hear DD or DS coughing. And he will tell me ok or yah. Then suddenly a few days later he will ask me DS sick ah? Have you brought him to the doctor?
He gets angry with me if I am unwell. He says it stresses him up. Blames me for not taking care of myself. Blame it on my not taking supplements regularly. Then get even more irritated with me because I refuse to see the doctor for common cold.
So basically, I know, I cannot really depend on this man in times of sickness. -
these men are so insensitive when we are sick...BUT when mine here is sick, he behaves like a baby.
each time he has a review at SNEC, i am like a mother bringing a child to see the doctor.
i got fed up and told him off. when we are unwell, it doesn't seem to affect him...but when he needs to see a doctor or unwell, he behaves like a baby
or else he will tell me to see a doctor. i told him what i need is rest & don't need to see a doctor because i have medication for just about every ailment in the fridge. i was still thinking what medicine to take as i was still unwell at 3am. -

he 心疼 you , getting irritated and angry is their way of showing They care ..Some men are just like that.

my mum has this type of character , n will nag at us.
we know she cares , but can be a real \"pain\" and \" irritating\" to the recipient ' , not that we want & like to fall sick lei
Funz, I can \"feel\" you  -
Oh no!! I hope u guys are much better now.
I better appreciate my hubby. Feels a bit guilty now.
