        Near Hume Rd?The condo area?

Remembered that there are a lot of monkeys appearing there.
        yes...parents stay at Hume Avenue.
lots of monkeys there. these monkeys have been known to enter residents' units to take food from the fridge and tables. grilles don't help because the small ones can squeeze in.

I remember waiting for DH picking me up near one of the bus stops there near the army camp and the food that I was holding was suddenly snatched away by the monkeys many years ago.

never carry any plastic bags because monkeys think they contain food. a resident even mentioned mcdonald’s paper bag is not spared. these monkeys are very fierce especially the old ones.

the weekend is here again…it sure was great having a public holiday in the middle of the week. unfortunately i had to fall ill, thanks to the 36 degrees that day.

Bukit Timah is a great place to stay in but monkeys are one of the hazards.

Do you have monkeys running into your place before?

not my own place...parents' place. dad forgot to lock the window and the monkeys came and had a party. it was like a burglar who entered. another incident happened when a monkey came in and ate the rice put on the table to cool down for frying. it also attempted to take daughter's corn flakes when it left but the packet was too big to go through the window. BIG cleaning up and sterilizing of the rice pot. oh yes, monkey also stole 3 eggs. in short, it was a horrible mess.

That must been quite a scare.I read newspaper reports about this year's ago.

Share with you something funny...I took 963 towards Woodlands 2 years ago during the daytime.

There were 4-5 monkeys sitting at the bus stop at same bus stop outside Bukit Panjang where they snatched my food a year or so earlier.

The bus driver actually stopped the bus at the bus stop and opened the front door.He stopped there for 10 secs before driving off.

Thankfully, the monkeys declined the bus ride.

fortunately the monkeys declined the bus ride or the passengers would have alighted.

                      haha...
Who pays for their bus ride?

Anyway, neighbours said they have seen one walking up the stairs of HillV2 quite some time ago ...

There are lots of dogs living in this area. Perhaps we can train the big dogs up to scare the intruders away

Not a fake story but the passengers were quite amused at the actions of the bus driver.
