Did you hear that they’re changing the format this year to announce sec Sch posting end Nov & early Dec after results & selection? Seems CHIJ had a briefing on this yesterday. Anyone fr CHIJ can confirm?

I doubt this might be implemented this year.MOE website still says 21 and 22nd dec 2017 tentative date.
      Maybe would be future plans.

Bought some sec 1 books from Popular.

Not sure what exactly to buy, just randomly grab some.
Anyone like us? Going to start work on Sec 1 stuff soon?

One of the ways is to go through the English/Science textbook with your child once quickly, to prepare what he/she is about to learn. For Math, you can start to introduce some of the topics he/she is unfamiliar with by sharing the applicable application.

                    Thanks Janet!

Yes, we randomly grabbed some History, Geography, Maths, Sc and HCL textbooks plus a couple of guidebooks from GLM & WiseMann. May I know what’s your recommendation for secondary school guide/assessment books?

DD1’s school holidays officially started today. DD1 has been tasked to read up and do her own notes. I hope after PSLE, I don’t have to teach much, just use my “eye-power” to supervise will do. 😆

I have beeb getting GLM and Wisemann publishers for history, geography and science.
For Math, i buy Shinglee and SAP.
The above-mentioned publishers are for assessment books. Daughter's school uses Shinglee for their Math textbook (even son's former secondary school uses same publisher).
