Lovely!! I enjoy attending weddings and catching up.

I've got to that stage in life when we get too many wedding invitations (like when we were in our late 20s-early 30s). We now only attend dinners if they are relatives. For friends' kids and others, we only go to the church wedding. Can't afford the time and the hongbaos!

We are attending hubby's cousin's wedding this week. Another 4 unmarried cousins available.

I confess - hongbaos not my responsibility. 😂

I enjoy weddings, most of them have live bands and singers and everyone dress up. These days it is also common to have photo booths with dress up items and it is a great time to take funny photos with relatives. One had free flow popcorn and the kids all went gaga.

Not my generation getting married any more, it's the next generation. One of my nieces is getting married next weekend, so it's tea ceremony, church and lunch on Sat, and dinner on Sunday. This Sat, it's the 1-month of another niece's son - so another lunch and angbao. My daughter has Maths on Monday, so not so bad, and she doesn't have a paper till Wed after the wedding weekend. She's the youngest of the cousins on this side of the family, so her cousin forgot that there is still 1 more cousin taking A levels!

And our church young people are getting married one by one - lost count of how many weddings there were this year, and we have already been notified of a couple next year. We are invited to nearly all of the weddings.

My cousins are getting married one by one…late marriages since they are in their mid 30s.

My daughter is excited…wondering what to wear for the day and dinner…and I had to remind her she is not the bride.
