Hi, any suggestion on P5 science assessment books that are good for enhancing the process skills? Open - ended questions?

What you need is to immerse your child in the science in the surrounding.

E.g. get him to explore nature - observation skills are very important at this stage. Get him to compare various leaves, trees, flowers, buildings and point out the similiarities and differences. Make it fun. After you get him hooked on the surroundings, get him to select ONE assessment book on his own. When he’s done with that, then let him get the next. Drilling just the theories without the practics will simply kill his interest in the subject.

It's a great idea! Suitable for kids up to P2 to intro them.

P3 kids can explore garden & help them pick variety of leaves (compound leaves, etc) Can do art coloring the veins & help kids identify compound & single leaves & its differences. As they walk around, highlight scrubs & trees and the canopy, etc. Bring them to rainforests at Botsnical Gardens. My kids did when K2 and they were so thrilled esp seeing the huge tree stump, spider-webs, etc. It's fun for them.

They can do up a shoebox with miniature trees & tree stumps, etc. Asks them what they wanna put into the shoebox & let them be creative with it & own it. When they're doing their shoebox display, you can show them various science books to read up & add items they read abt.

Yep. I took my boy to the night safari every other week. Then, the tram presenters were ‘live’ and they never failed to answer his hundreds of questions. He learnt to read the signages and other info bits at the parks. I didn’t have to teach him much Science and he grew up loving biology, nature and animals.

Wow! Sports doc in the making! He'll be hot after.

My MIL fell & broke a muscle in her ankle. Fr our experience, we discovered that we've only one expert in Spore! He was such a genius, using a muscle fr the toe to re-connect to the ankle.

Your DS will be sought after by the sportsmen & elderlies! Thank you for nurturing him. :salute:
