She seem ok to me. She never complain to me before. Maybe dare not complain because this is the school she insisted to go.
Thank you.Is it more taxing for her?considering whether to put NJC or cedar as 1st choice.

Hi parents.
Can advise if there is a text book list for JH2 so we know what are the correct texts to get? My child says there is no book list…
Thanks in advance. -
Hello, there’s no booklist for JH2 - MT, MA & LA tutors will advise the proper texts when school reopens. Btw, its the last year they’ll wear the JH uniform.

Hi ntnl.
Thanks so much for the info. Time flies... JH2 and last year in JH uniform...

Hello! I was an NJ IP student that graduated last year, but I hope my experiences would still be relevant to answering your questions!
I would like to know this too.lachattesg:
Hi, we're considering the njc ip, do the Teachers provide notes, material or are the students expected to to do their own note compilation especially in first 2 years where they are finding their feet?
Is the environment and Teachers nurturing and caring?
What happens to kids who are floundering or find that ip is really not for them? Would international schools be the only way out then?
Throughout the 6 years in NJ we were never required to purchase textbooks, except the usual TYS series nearing HMT Os or A levels. I always made my own notes from the materials the teachers provided, and did quite decently throughout the years! Most of my friends did that as well, though some were comfortable enough with just reading off the school’s material without writing their own. The point is, textbooks are not necessary!
As for the teachers, I had the privilege of being taught by some of the most dedicated and inspiring people to whom I owe where I am today. While teaching capabilities differ between teachers, I think that in general they are dedicated to their cause. They really are people that not only fulfil their academic roles, but also are friends and confidantes to the students.
To answer your last question, there have been students who weren’t coping with IP (read: did not promote in the JH levels) and I think they transferred out to other secondary schools!
This may be a little late since the posting results would be out soon, but I hope this helps affirm a decision to study in NJ

Indeed I see my girl having close relationship with some of the teachers and they talk like friends.
but also are friends and confidantes to the students.
Some of her teacher look so young that I thought is her classmate. :rotflmao: -
Does anyone know how many JH1 classes NJC have? On the orientation day, it was okay, I suppose. Filled up all the forms and handed them up, etc. One thing to note: My DD is under MOE FAS, and when we went to the bookshop, the bookshop auntie asked us to get the uniform first before coming back as she was busy. We did indeed get the uniform + PE and when we went back, the auntie made us wait for a very long time before finally coming to serve us. Just something I noted. Now I have to deal with my DD coming home late everyday except for Wednesday.
