Hi, for CCA - Recreational Sports & Nanyang Outdoor, anybody knows what is actually about? What are the activities involved? Are they fun?

I’m not very sure if these are fun, but the school will have CCA trial during orientation and the girls will be able to have a feel

Yes, ipad is required but only from Sec 2 onwards, so u don't need to get it before school starts.
During dd's time, there were 3 PTM for Sec 1 parents.
The details of the requirements for ipad (specs like minimum storage, iOS) should be made known in the last PTM in Oct if I remember correctly.
The school will also tie up with the vendor to offer some discounts for the ipad at end of the year, before the girls proceed to Sec 2.
However, u can also choose to get the ipad on yr own if u wish to.

First day of school should be the usual welcome speech, ice breaking games?

If u have any forms that were given out during Sec 1 registration eg. Giro form for sch fees, application form for any Programmes etc , bring them along.
I think u can refer to the orientation schedule given out to see what else to bring.
Definitely no books required during orientation.

Btw, school will communicate with parents through emails. Very seldom will u get hard copy memo, so it's important that u provide the school with an active email account.
During the first PTM for each level, parents will be given a list of direct office lines and email address of the Year Head, Form teachers and all the subject teachers in charge of your dd's class.
If u happen to miss the first PTM, u can get your child to get a copy from her form teacher.

May I know the school’s policy on the use of handphone? Can it be used after school hours but during cca?

Would like to know that for the dragon boat activity day, do the girls need to wear uniform to school then change to PE attire or can they wear the PE attire directly? What to bring?
