The P shared that the intake for this year has increased? Total 407 students for 2018 Y1. Not sure if I heard it wrongly or not. With the increased number, it makes sense why the COP drops ?

As for the DSA, yes its true that intake has reduced (not just RI or HCI). With this, it means it gets more competitive and I do understand that MS is affected as well, not only GEP.

That's right. P said twice during the talk that the intake is 407, from 113 schools. He's happy with the diversity.
Is 407 an increase from previous years?
What were the intakes in previous years?

My boy said that this year’s intake was 397. So that is a marginal increase for next year.

        Hi All,

For those who take 3rd lang at Bishan, do they go there themselves or school will provide OW transfer?

        Many thanks.

3rd lang classes @ MOELC Bishan are held after school, and the boys will make their own way there, it's within walking distance or a short bus ride.

              Class Allocation is out !!

              We can check online.

              DS in 1L.
That’s the 12th letter of the alphabet.
I wonder how many classes for this cohort, since there are 407 of them.

Typically how many students in a class? For those days when they end their lessons at 3.30pm, will they have 2 ‘recess’ period ? (One in the morning and another around lunch time?)

During DS's year, there were 404 students and they were assigned to 14 classes. 1A to 1P (they skipped N and O). Why now less number of classes? :?

Is your boy outstanding in the Eng language? From my observation, K & L tend to be for those with impressive Eng credentials. Of course there will be some boys who excel in everything, and may end up in other classes due to relative strength in other subjects.
