Hi there....my daughter got into Cedar. We were surprised as she only got 250, but managed to get in. However, we are really worried that she will not be able to catch up. Will she be in the last class? And what are the classes like?

      :congrats: Rae4kids and kerryberry!!

My DD2 got 252. I didnt want her in Cedar bec I too was worried she will be stressed at being at the lower end of the cohort. However, she insisted on Cedar and she got in. May I ask, did your DD achieve her result using tuition? Mine did. I intend for her to go tuition free from sec 1 onwards. Even chinese. So kinda worried she may not cope.

Ah no. She didn't take any sorts of tuition at all for the whole of primary school. But she wants to start tuition for all subjects in either sec 1 or sec 2. Because she is worried she cant catch up,as she is the lower end of the cohort. Congrats to you n ur dd!

Hmm yea. Too much stress maybe. Perhaps we will just focus on her weaker subjects and see how it goes with the new subjects like history. Thanks for the advice šŸ•ŗ

                      phtthp:
starting wef from 2018 Sec 1 students, All students including Sec 1 \"O\" level students, compulsory to take Higher Chinese -

                      is this true ? Thanks
yes compulsory for IP, but I don't know about O level.
It's Higher Mother Tounge to be exact, so it is either Higher Chinese or Higher Malay.
