Hubby said he can buy overseas n bring back to Sg as handcarried.

      Can be done?
      Not forbidden?

We were forced to discard handcarried wine because of the liquid rule. Unless he is buying from within the airport I suppose?

Wines etc bought in duty-free shops in the airports are exempted from the 100ml limit on liquids carried on board the planes. They have to be packed and labelled by the duty-free shop in some way. All other liquids must comply with the 100ml limit, which means that wines bought elsewhere will either have to be packed in the suitcases or not carried at all. When we returned from NZ recently, we bought bubble wrap and packed 2 bottles of wine in our suitcase. We had bought them from wineries, forgetting about the 100ml rule! Luckily we had plenty of space in our suitcases and we had time to buy bubble wrap. Both bottled arrived back safely.

It's just 1litre of wine <24% alcohol? I believe he can bring back 2 1-litre wine bottles in his checked luggage. Customs announced it's now 2 1-litre wine+1 1-litre beer. Or 1+1+1 or some other combis of your choice. The more young adults (above 18) in your company, the better. With parents in law or colleagues, you can check in more bottles šŸ™‚

Do NOT, in fact, NEVER handcarry please, unless he buys from the Canadian airport's duty free which would have the bottles in sealed bags.

BUT, will he be transiting with that sealed bag of liquids thru any other international airports before arriving in Singapore? If yes, I'm afraid that will depend on the carry-on liquid restrictions of that particular country. Pray no transits thru China or Australia. Middle East is ok based on my own experience.

We usually buy from the local wineries, supermarkets, farmers markets, Christmas markets or wine shops. Just wrap well with bubble wraps or newspapers and place all bottles inside a large SKP ziploc bag, then sandwich the package between your clothes in the centre of your hard case luggage.

Last but not least, please request for that red \"FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE\" sticker from the airline staff when checking in at the counter (if he intends to pack the ice wines in checked luggage).

son said there is a 'pool' at bedok.
the cars and buses were literally jammed and hardly moving. i had a dental appt this morning and 50 minutes after boarding the bus, it was only about 200m away where i boarded. had to call the clinic to inform the dentist i would be slightly late.

if i had known the rain was so heavy, i would postpone the dental appt. although the review was very short, it was necessary as i had surgery done and the dentist wanted to make sure it was healing well.
never had i carried the umbrella for the whole morning even when it is scorching hot.
