Am also one of the least travelled; somehow cant leave behind the young and old for a while.

I wish I can be like some; just pack up and go for short trips either alone or with dh only.
No worries - I dun have luxury to pack n go with hubby too . Can’t leave my young n old yet.

Jen been to ice land last yr right - go few v nice places are v gd too .

        Jennifer:

Compared to many kakis in ksp, I should be listed as the least travelled person.
i think i qualify as the least travelled person in ksp. the furthest is gold coast for honeymoon and perth 20 years ago...genting and cameron highlands some 30 years ago.

with an ultra sensitive stomach now, it's hard to travel.

Nvm, we can go Sentosa, Kusu island, Pulau Ubin etc. These are considered "overseas" too …

there was a staycation at amara in sentosa few years ago...that was interesting. after spending a day at universal studios, we could just go back to the hotel to relax. maybe we should do that again...'overseas' without needing a passport.

I considered myself lucky that the elderly and the young in the family are fairly independent.

Anyway it is just another few years of freedom for me, before I am tied down again.

I have been to Kusu Island once when MIL went to do prayers at the island. Ah boy yet to go there. Is the island open to visitors all year round or just that few days for the prayers?

Should be open all year round. Here is the ferry schedule, stop at St John's island first before going Kusu island.
