Received my workfare letter recently. I am a bit confused by the website - it listed four points for who qualify for the subsidy and one of them is if we earn a gross monthly salary of not more than $2000? So earnings above that means we don't qualify for the subsidy even if we get the letter? Or is the website in need of updating?

Look at the exclusions - they look at value of home, no. of properties, and spouse's earnings too. It's not so easy to get!

Ah? So can get or cannot get? Letter says i qualify, but i do not meet the criteria listed on website ... 🀷

I think they send the letter out based on your declared income, but they can't verify the other details easily. So you will have to see if you aren't excluded because one of those other criteria.

            Starlight receives only bills :stompfeet:

Maybe it is good to clarify if Ah Gong has made a mistake

the so-called ang bao GST package is our money. we pay road tax, COE, ERP...all these are from our pocket. it's just that during Budget Day, they rephrase it as helping singaporeans tide through. how nicely put.

If the govt doesn't collect any revenue, how is the country to operate? At least when they \"return\" it to us, at least relatively more gets distributed to the less well off. And if we are paying road tax, COE and ERP, it means we are in the minority which owns a car, doesn't it?
