the so-called ang bao GST package is our money. we pay road tax, COE, ERP...all these are from our pocket. it's just that during Budget Day, they rephrase it as helping singaporeans tide through. how nicely put.

If the govt doesn't collect any revenue, how is the country to operate? At least when they \"return\" it to us, at least relatively more gets distributed to the less well off. And if we are paying road tax, COE and ERP, it means we are in the minority which owns a car, doesn't it?

Well put! Unfortunately many can't or don't see beyond just grousing. Forgetting that having good infrastructure, public housing, public health institutions, schools etc etc, all need to be funded somehow, heaven forbid, that they are not upto expectations! Too much of a sense of entitlement - just want & want, but don't care how it gets done!

costs of living have gone up so much. how can the $200 possibly help when grocery is expensive?

If GST goes up by 3%, and a GST rebate of $200 is offered to offset this increase, that translates to the increase in GST for expenditure of $6667 (if my Maths is correct! not my strong suit). That's not too bad.

Again, well put! Choosing to view things from a glass \"half-full\" instead of \"half-empty\" perspective makes for a happier & more positive way to lead life!

I went grocery shopping at Giant in IMM

I still prefer to shop at ntuc

It is sunny but windy outside

same here…somehow the feeling of shopping at NTUC is more interesting…prices are lower than giant.

                      Janet

There are offer items in Giant and they will be cheaper than NTUC’s
Prices of almost everything are going up secretly. I used to buy cans of Ayam brand chilli tuna. Its price has gone up. People said what goes up must comes down. This is confirmed not true for grocery items

Now doing a face mask with egg white. Can feel my pores tightening almost immediately.

Forgot to add lemon juice, though.

Going to wait 15 mins before rinsing off mask.
