Did the school explain why there's no supp classes anymore?

Nope. I had to ask T to find out more. Did away with supp classes but remedial classes remain.
June hols there will be 3 days of supp classes. T explained that they couldn't fit in supp classes on Mon/Tue now due to the new after school schedule.

I feel that attending PTM is really not helpful coz unless my child has major issues, otherwise it’s a touch and go, less than 5 mins. It’s a total waste of time.

For supp class, I am baffled why the sch removes it esp since P6 materials must all be covered by mid year. There’s simply not enough regular curriculum time to complete the syllabus and supp class should help alleviate that
The year-end MTP is not on 1-1 basis but on a cohort level in the hall. In the past, the average marks of each subject would be shared, (what I was most interested in. Hehe!) so I could gauge my son's performance relative to his cohort. HODs would also briefly share the common mistakes/areas of weaknesses in SA2. In addition, the MTP was a nice wrap-up to the whole year whereby the level head would present a short slide-show of the fun activities the students participated.

It's just worrying cos who wants to be in the first P6 batch with this new directive? Those that have tuition will just rely on tuition even more. Just hope for a good PSLE outcome.

Meet the parents is useful IMHO even if kid has no major issue. But still can make appointment with teacher if not called up to meet so not too bad.

I didn't like the changes to the enrichment programs either. And CCA schedules.
U mean change to p1-3 only?

No. CCA days changed for upper primary too. Some clashes. I know of kids has to switch or drop 1 CCA. Can say adjustments take some getting used to.

I think there is no more ASEP for upper pri kids now - only for P1-3s.
Yep, the school is closed & locked up on weekends now, empty & quiet, no longer the busy place it used to be with the courtyard, field, courts & rooms all filled with students doing their marching/ sports/ activities.

Yes Zappy, no more asep for upper primary and ccas will only intake students from p3 onwards unless they are in the enrichments. Closed on Sundays, it’s been so quiet. Some of the teachers were grouping up to play soccer on Sundays and could no longer do so as well.

I find there's less information sharing generally under the new leadership - it's been hard to get used to sudden unexplained changes. BTW, do principals stay for 6 years min? :siam:

Hi, I can’t seem to find the ASEP info in SNAC, does anyone recollect when the deadline was for the ASEP indication and when does lesson start? Thanks!

I didn't get any notification as my kid is in upper pri but my impression is that the ASEP's that have vendors already started. Even so, I think you can just sign up now but those missed sessions may not be have replacements.
