Why have all open houses when results are not out?
U went visit but in the end cannot meet cut-off point also no use.
They shd hv it after results are out

Write in to sch bah if u want. Open houses are strictly the school's own matters. U complaint MOE they at most send out advisory only they don't have the power to force schools to change open house dates coz its not their responsibility to do so.

Every school do their programmes differently, and sometimes its due to their admin and their curriculum requirements (e.g. extra lessons, sch trips etc ). So its best to feedback to the school directly.

Because Open Houses are organized and run by students. School holidays start on 18 November. The students will not be around to run the Open Houses.

Oic…

But it is not too much to ask student come back half day a day after school for open hse rite?

It's not about coming back for half a day. Open Houses are open for longer than half a day and take days and weeks to plan. It would mean that after holidays officially start on 18 Nov, students will probably be expected to come back in the one week or more to continue getting things perfect for the Open House which is likely to be held after 24 Nov because kids and parents of P6 need time to plan which schools to visit. Which means eating into the secondary school's kids' year end holidays.

The wiser choice would be to take the prelim results n go to at least 3-5 schs around that range to find out more… not wait till November to go so many sec schs… actually think about it, if all sec schs open only after results out, n open only abt half day, how r u gg to find out all about the sch within such a short time? Many schs will have their schedules clash with each other, making it even tougher to find time to visit and ask in depth.
