We stay in simei, daily commute like this : Home @ Simei -> Grandma Place @ Marine Parade -> School -> Back to Grandma Place -> Home. So each journey half hr. Leave home 7.45am, back 8.30pm.

We moving to 5 mins drive away from Grandma place, rather than 30 minutes drive now. Sch bus takes too long. We reckon that we needs to stay near DS caregiver to cut down travelling time, and more time to guide DS + family bonding. No pt stay near school if DS caregiver live far away.

Downgrade to HDB 3rm @ 320K. $xxxxx, but then we sold ours high price too.....

DS take by cab to school noon time sometime. We may consider making this permanent. Understand that sch bus is $140 even if 1-way and takes an hour from Marine Parade. Taxi fare per trip is less than $6 and takes less than 15 mins. In all $6 x 5 days a week + 3 days more in case 31 days in that month = $138, cheaper and faster......

DS havent complete Maths 2 practice worksheet, 3 EL worksheet, and 2day CL spelling only learn 1 time.... That why we decided to move.... Hope DS will appreciate the $ and sacrifice we did for him as parent...

              😞

We have only 1 kid, plus hubby having flexible working hours. So managable. Yeap, it is not easy to manage 2 kids without parent support. Presume you have right? Take care ....

The plan to stay at home for the kids is always at the back of my mind, but so far no courage to carry out yet.
Really kudos to all the SAHMs and the sacrifices they have made for the kids!

Well, its not tough and tiring at all being a SAHM, if staying with parents or parent-in-law. I took care of DS with my mum-in-law till he is 2+, before he went childcare. Whole day I had time to myself while DS in childcare previously. Went back to work because of boredom… and want more cash in CPF…

So can imagine the same if I’m SAHM now, having half day off everyday. As long as you are not facing the kids alone all by yourself all day, SAHM is quite a nice and fulfilling experience, sometime fuss over grocery shopping, cooking, maintain household accounts, pay bills, surfing Internet… More things to do but definitely much less stress and worries than working

Now as a FTWM having to look after DS @ nite every day, I occasionally take leave to recharge myself. Sometime rest/sleep somethime shopping sometime movies with hubby etc… Because it is really tiring juggling both work n family over prolong period.

Either I be SAHM or FTWM, not healthy to combine both. Am fortunate to have both hubby and parent support. Looking forward to moving near my in-law place. Less tiring and nutritious dinner to look forward to end of day.

                        Just sharing experiences only…
