Talk about saving ¥, got this set of https://www.klook.com/promo/sg-cherryblossom?aid=1018 from Klook. Promo valid till 30 April 2018:

Take $18 off a min spend of $300. After which, you'll get another email with a code for $18 off which you can use but the min spend is $150 this time round. This gives you a total of $36 off $450.

I'm watching klook.com for deals for my June hols. Yet to book anything thru them. Is it safe? R they like Groupon?

They are nothing like Groupon (and that’s in a good way). More like Expedia - minus the hotel and air fares.

Klook is an online travel agency headquartered in Hong Kong (with a sales office in Singapore I’m told). They sell standard travel products (e.g. day tours) or entrance tickets. In the past, travel agents may package these items together (often procure at travel agents’ prices) and sell it as a package (but Klook does it a little differently). They are definitely safe to book - I’ve used them a couple of times and have saved me a few bucks each time.
Thank you, floppy!

Son's trip is called Jenesys. Last year Ngee Ann students attended it. This year, it's SP. Next year it will be another poly.
25 of them, all from same poly but different courses. He got to meet new friends from this trip.

              Starlight,
I don't mind going to Japan after hearing how nice and cool the weather is.

The latter is slightly more expensive by $1 - $2 per passenger. Japanican and Klook are day tour aggregators of sorts which basically promote/advertise for the same inbound travel agents in Japan, esp Sunrise (JTB's subsidiary).

However, I find that Japanican has more variety and more interesting combis. E.g. from Osaka or Kyoto or Tokyo to the same destination X, Or within Tokyo city, different pick-up districts (Shinjuku, Tokyo, Ikebukuro) to the same destination Y. One also has A & B combined tours, whereas you cannot find that listed on the other. Klook has several Kimono photo shoot packages, Romantic Train to Sagano packages, rickshaw packages, etc.

Are the Klook tourists mainly Hongkongers?

I'm not sure if I am charged based on the current prevailng forex rates if I book now, or should I time my booking when the forex is in our favour?

Japanican is like a local Japanese agent. Hence, you probably could find more options or combinations within Japanican, specific to Japan.

Klook charges are in SGD. Hence, I doubt there are huge changes unless there are big forex movements.
