P1 no SA1 this year? And yes, my girl's P1 teacher follows her to P2.Looks like I will be in this exam frenzy when it comes to SA2 for my P1 girl end of this year

Can anyone share with me if the P1 form teacher will follow the girls up to P2 ? My girl likes her current form teacher very much and always asks me on whether she will have the same form teacher next year...
For those of you with girls taking HMT in P2, does the school bus fetch them? I know for sure my school bus uncle does not, but that's because we stay too far away....Wondering for those of you who stay nearer, e.g. Bukit Timah, Clementi, Toh Yi, Bt Batok or Jurong East area, does the school bus fetch them for HMT in P2?
Many thanks.
Rgds,
Ming
No, the school bus doesn not fetch for HMT. We are staying in clementi. -

Yup, no SA1 for P1 this year, they are having what is termed as alternative assessments, i.e. many tests instead.

My girl will be very happy knowing that she will have the same form teacher
Thanks for the school bus part, I thought it's because of the distance that the they don't do the fetching, looks like I might be wrong.
So it looks like unless I am able to make alternative arrangement, my girl will not be able to make it for HMT next year even if she qualifies
I seriously would like her to study HMT if she can make it......
How do you all cope with the transport arrangement for HMT in P2?
Thanks.

Whao didnt know that this year no more SA1 for the P1 gals.
Actually almost half my dd's class did not opt for HMT because of logistics problem. Dont fret too much they can still go for it in P3.
Oh... J didnt set the Maths paper?? And yes when dd told me someone left 1, 2 pages blank, I told her I hope its not you.
 -
Ming, my mil fetches my dd to HMT in cab every week haha... shiong man.. plus CCA as well so that's twice a week
Pat, KSP, Andaiz, so ur dd told u their SA results already? My dd was so disappointed with her Math results coz she scored much better during the mock paper earlier, and so she was expecting the same results. Then later when she realised she did better this time than her SA2 in P1 last year, she became happier liao

Yeah Luanee she came back with her maths results. Yes she also did better than last SA2, P1. I think the paper was significantly easierβ¦

Yes, her class got to see their Maths paper yesterday but handed back at the end of the lesson. She got around the same as her P1 SA1/2. We are quite happy with her result.

There is no school bus to fetch PM seesion students in the morning for extra classes like CCA or HMT. I did ask this last year and the answer was there is not enough students to justify for the service. From what I know mostly parents or grandparents have to ferry the students but there were minority fetched by maids.

Not all P1 form teachers will follow through P2. I remember looking at last year school magazine and this year form teacher list from the school website there are like 4-5 classes of form teacher did not follow the same class to P2. But my dd class did. -
Many thanks for your variou feedback on logistics arrangement for HMT and CCA

Looks like most probably have to get my mum to bring her via cab liao..considering the distance, each round-trip might need around $30....
btw, was told that will need to submit the donation card to school next mon, can I have a rough gauge of the \"market rate\" for donation ??

Yes, she came back with the English, MT and Math results already. Only the written papers for the first 2- no updates for the compo/listening compre nor other papers yet. HMT today, I'd think.

The teacher marked a Math question wrongly and she valiantly went to the teacher to get it rectified. So, that has eclipsed her okay performance. :celebrate: yeah, Luannee, she was disappointed as she'd done much better in the mock papers earlier. Her Math teacher actually sent a couple more through email - super onz!
But acutally, much better than her SA2 results in P1. -

I didn't let my dd take up HMT this year after considering the time, effort and cost for attending the extra 1hr HMT in school compare with outside chinese enrichment courses. But there is one thing we can't buy, which is the happy playtime with her classmates before and after the HMT class. I was told they still can go for HMT in P3 if they can meet the grade. But I really don't know what is the min marks to meet the criteria. Many thanks for your variou feedback on logistics arrangement for HMT and CCA
