My son is very interested in math and likes to solve math problems that are very challenging. He has attended math lessons since P1. He has obtain strong math skills through the notes that cover all the curriculums in School and questions that are more challenging. Since then, he got full marks in all his Math exams since P1 and always looks forward to Math lessons at TLL every week. He has a very good teacher and my son likes his teacher so much!

Hi! Anyone heard of educhamps academy at goldhill novena ? They do GEP... any parents have sent their child there ??

Anyone can exaggerate claims that they have 100% success rate or x number successful in GEP screening. Same goes with teachers’ credentials. What TOP student, ex-MOE teacher with awards?! Especially when it is on their own website. Where is the proof? Nowadays I will trust Facebook reviews more than words on centre’s website (also must check FB accounts of those who review to see authentic or fake accounts). Anything else that is printed by the tutor is ALL advertising speak! Approach with caution.

Hi...if u wish to know about the P1 Math syllabus, just head straight for the textbook section. Have a look at the My Pals Are Here series (the textbook is called Pupils Book). They also have the Workbook - the kids will do these worksheets in school. And Math Extra Practice - this is optional assessment book which is good for revision before tests. Some primary schools use another series (I forgot the name) but u will see it in the textbook section too.

Don’t waste your time with the preschooler IQ Math books. U can let your kid do them for fun, but these do not help with understanding the primary school math syllabus at all. More important preparation for P1 Maths is their reading skills. U will notice that they need to read the lengthy English instructions for each question.
