        Hi There,

My son is a P1 student there and he enjoys going to school. The teachers are great and dedicated. The school has a Lego room and a newly opened room called the tinkershop where the boys can visit during recess time. The latter is a place where the boys get to have a go at building anything related to engineering.

The group of parent volunteers are a dedicated and fun loving bunch of parents. I’m glad I made a right decision in sending my boy to this school.

The school has a Facebook page - Montfort Junior School where you can visit and view pictures of fun activities going on in the school. If you have anymore queries that you’d like to ask, you may send a message to the school via their Facebook page or call the school.

I hope you make a choice in registering your boy in Montfort Junior. ☺

            Hi Bianz,

The school will be having an open house this coming Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Do go if you can to find out more about what the school has to offer. My son is in P2 this year and he enjoys going to school.

Montfort is good for boys. My boy was in the school for 2 years and he enjoyed it very much. Teachers are very caring and they havegood programs. The boys would enjoy three modular CCA (MCCA) each year and those MCCAs are just what boys like. They have PAM nights performance for showing case of their PE art and music lessons. If your boy is good, he will have a lot of opportunities for art exhibition, CCA such as wushu performance outside School and other competitions.

Hello Everyone. I am intending to send my son to Montfort in 2020 (yes this is a kiasu mother here). I would like to find out if being a parent volunteer would help to secure a place and is it recommended? Thank you for the advise and any heads up will be appreciated.

You are not kiasu. In fact, you may be quite relax.

Typically for PV, you have to sign up at least 1 year (2 years for popular schools) before registration. To enter in 2020, you have to register in 2019 and PV has to be approved by 2018. Hence, there is a strong likelihood that you may have missed the opportunity.

That said, you are aiming for Montfort where there will be vacancies even at Phase 2Cs. Think you will be quite safe applying at Phase 2C (i.e. without PV).
