Seem like my case bit problematic n rare. Maybe if the 1st clarification was done on the spot instead of 3 calls n 1 meeting..we might have taken teacher suggestion n let him continue while waiting for new class to start.. for Liftoff- there are only 3 ongoing classes . 2 are full. 1 is on sat...and currently they have already started their 4th lessons.. to be fair - d senior front desk offered this option but my boy has to go thru 4 makeup classes to catch up..i didn't even want to explore that option.


When it comes to kids ability.. we really can and have to trust the professional teacher. The ball is in their court to promote our kids...this system of assessement based on individual performance has its pros n cons.. making us parents more anxious whether our kids can faster attain next level..same time we are concerned why our kids are still stuck which kid of same age already so advanced at lifeoff or sucess.

yep, agreed, we should trust the ability assessment by professional teacher.

The maximum waiting time will be when a new term start… should be end june after 7 classes + break over…
Or if by mid term… say 5th or 6th launchpad lessons - if there are few other kids who are also eligible to promote… Then the centre will open new liftoff class…

can anyone briefly tell me what is liftoff program? i gathered some information from older post. still not that clear.
did the program teach about comprehension other than phonics and reading skill?
