Subject wise, is there any that MS is good at?
My child has been in their math lessons but looking to add on subjects like English/ science but wondering if should consider other centres or stick to 1 centre for familiarity n convenience?
I went for British council open house and have good impression of their English structure.. just pricey.
There r like many options for science and chinese too.. n haven’t heard much about MS through word of mouth so wonder abt their notes etc..
I just came to know that sometimes high achiever classes also do just about similar papers to achiever classes.. so r the HA papers more iq or just challenging questions?
Sorry to hijack this thread, but sharing for better alternatives for parents here to consider. Mine all done with Pri schools & are doing well, so hope others benefit too.
No need to spend precious resources (time & money) on exp BC lah.
Check which area yr child needs help most for English.
If compo weak - look for Ms Agnes fr Writers@Work. They hv one centre at Clementi Ave 2 & the other at Kings Arcade level 2.
Other than compo, go for Academia & try sign up Mr Sherman Tseng's class. Usually, work is done in his class & he goes round checking & coaching, but he may give kids lots of printed reading materials. He wants to encourage more reading so kids can improve English, not just practice papers for sake of exams. He once told me, this generation of kids don't read as much coz focus not there. Most are too exposed to screen activities (computer games, iPad, iPhone, ....).
Both Ms Agnes (I can't rmbr her surname) & Mr Tseng are true educators who can manage a classroom of 8-10 & yet coach each child in their weak areas so tt they improve. Fees are not as exp as BC or TLL. -
