      Hi Esteema,

      Yeap we’ll restrict our luggage to two piece only so that we can still hold their hands but that would means I can’t buy many things back from Japan since usually the two luggage will be pack to the brim.
      The tix we bought were to Tokyo only and now we can made any amendments, regret to the max. Yeap we haven’t book our hotel tix as I have no confident if my itineraries will work. Not gonna drive in winter country, no experience at all so better be safe especially with two kids. Thanks so much for your advice.

        No worries.

        I usually buy on the last day of trip, unless certain item die die cannot forget or miss out on.

        So, we’ll eat at Tsujiki mkt (there’s a favourite outlet with a chef we always go to. After meal we’ll go feast our eyes. Anything we’ll buy & pack to roll over to Express bus tt bring us right to airport. Same is we’re leaving fr Osaka.

        With Hokkaido it’s different. We can’t backtrack Hakone, nor Tomita, etc. So, hv to buy those special local stuff there & lug along. One thing I always do is roll my clothings tight to max space. If there’s empty cavities, I’ll ensure they’re fully utilized to pack in items. E.g every trip I’ll hv those lightweight GLAD food packs I use for snacks, etc. Once it’s empty, I’ll be putting in sth that I don’t want crushed or leak out to my clothing & double ziplock it in.

        You can pack stuff on yr bagpack. As DH had a slipdisc s’time back & my back is also not in good condition, we take a bagpack with wheels & daytrips out (w/o the 2 big luggage), u can stuff more things in. Just a suggestion.

          Hi,

          Last year, I went to Tokyo & Hokkaido almost same as you my itinerary is;
          First 3 nights at Tokyo Disneyland as we covered Disneyland & DisneySea. Frankly speaking Tokyo Disneyland and HK Disneyland is quite different… as i compared to me since there already why not go and see My individual preference more to Tokyo Disneyland they are more systematic… Airport got direct limo bus to the nearby hotels.

          Then we travel domestic flight to Sapporo;
          I think 1 night in Niseko might not be enough too rush…
          I stayed 3 nights in Niseko and then another 3 nights in Sapporo.
          After that back to Tokyo another 2 nights in Tokyo city area.

          Noted: The taxi is very exp in Tokyo. They dont have any limo bus travel in between hotels. Therefore only can take limo bus to and fro airport to hotel, and hotel to airport. Much more cheaper…

            Aiyo! Never take taxi in Japan unless u’re on company expense.

            Try not to change too many hotels. Our family strategy was to stay near Express Limo bus point, which is also near the main train station. In Tokyo, its very fast & efficient to get anyway with the Shinkansen. Don’t hv to stay at those Disney hotels as it’s only only expensive but u wld want to travel out to sightsee or shop. So stay near the train station is most efficient to save travel time & overall cost.

            Yes, take the Express Limo bus, which takes all the passengers to & from airport. It’s not private tho (as in there’re other passengers travellingvtogether). Punctuality is impt in Japan.

            DJKA is right! I didn’t realize 'uve only one night in Niseko. Won’t hv enuf time to hv fun at the ski resort. You’ll want to spend a few days after traveling time taken into account.

            So, fly in Tokyo, do yr Disney trips & other sightseeing, then Niseko and fly out fr Chitose airport.

            Alternatively, fly into Chitose & bus transfer to Niseko, then back to Chitose to fly into Tokyo to do all Disney, sightseeing & shopping then fly off fr Tokyo.

              We went Tokyo and Osaka last year with our 6 and 14 year old. Brought one big and medium size luggage. Stayed in Premier Hamamatsucho mystay. As it is an office area, plenty of eateries and cafe. Took airport train and then changed to their local train. Quite convenient as the hotel is a 5 min walk from a train station. Bought a day tour from Singapore JTB (office at Ngee Ann City) to Mount Fuji.

                    Day 1 - arrive in Tokyo

                    Day 2 - fish market/Tokyo tower
                    Day 3 - day trip to Mount Fuji
                    Day 4 - Disneyland
                    Day 5 - take Shinkansen to Osaka
                    Day 6 - Osaka
                    Day 7 - day trip to Nara
                    Day 8 - universal studio
                    Day 9 - Osaka Castle
                    Day 10 - home sweet home

                    You can Google to see which are the sites you like to visit. Plenty of choices and most accessible by trains.

                    Really miss japan, clean toilets, nice food, good customer service. We usually eat at those small shops with the vending machine. Cheap and nice. Did not buy much, only some snacks from airport. The air ticket and hotel stay made up half of our budget.
