      Seunggi:
Phase 2C looks slim for APS even for SC? I'm SC under 1km and I'm not sure if I stand a good chance for APS so I'm starting to consider another alternative now - Kellock. Any suggestions?

How far are you from CHIJ Kellock? Why don't you monitor the take-up rate for CHIJ Kellock first? If the school has many places left after P2C, there's no harm in you trying for APS in P2C. You are within 1 km of APS, so you will at least get the chance to join in the balloting.

I'm about 4km away for Kellock and I think it's quite safe since past few years there's always been vacancies but I dont want to risk it given it's the dragon babies year. Not sure .. ughhh.

Another thing which I'm also concern about is after school care which Kellock doesn't have in the school premises. But I'm not sure if it's something I should worry about now.

after school care is the least you should worry for now. get into the school first. that's more important.

Will its been better to register online or go down the school to register under 2C

No difference : whether register online via internet, or go down personally to school to register.
MOE still need to wait for all applicants to register, by the latest date-line due (closed).

People usually go down to school, on the last day of that particular Phase registration :-
just to get hold of the numbers breakdown, by distance range, from the Registration officer on-site, in case the phone line engaged, cannot get through, or officer too busy with too many phone calls coming in, don't want to entertain parents' enquiries about numbers (some schools' admin behave this way). So, on the last day of each Phase around 3 pm, many anxious parents prefer to go down school premises personally, check the numbers on-site themselves, there and then.

Called up MOE today and just realised that both parents must access online at the same time but registration for pri sch only done by 1 parent.

Alexandra primary has 90 places taken under phase 1. as it is a new school, there won’t be former students at 2A. even if 20 teachers register their kids there, so there should be 100 places left for 2B and 2C…50 places (additional 10) as 40 vacancies must be kept aside.

Hi everyone! Hoping to pick your brain on my 2 choices of Alexandra Pri Sch (<1 km) and Radin Mas Pri (1 - 2 km). I know both are competitive and I wish to make sure I think through the odds of getting in. What do you all think?

FYI, RMPS has reduced its intake this year by 30 places. So, balloting may be for those in the less than 1 km category, especially this being a dragon year.

If you are looking ONLY at these two schools, my above statements will have answered your question.

RMPS will likely to enter balloting in phrase 2A2 or 2B. Chances left to get in there in 2C will be 20%.
