My new condo may TOP early next year. Was still telling DH maybe can sell. Bought the unit at $1000 psf but a neighbouring project is selling at $1450 psf.

Anyway, the previous upturn took several rounds of cooling measures before prices started coming down. Do not think the market will crash or even reverse the upturn.

The government was very quick to intervene this time…

I was just pushing my agent to put my rental unit up for sale now that prices are on an uptrend. 🤷

But if you are thinking of new investment after selling, you will need to pay ABSD for the new property.

          May not buy another property.

Did I read correctly; news on ABSD on 5 Jul and with effect from 6 Jul?

July 2015. So can only sell after July next year in order to avoid the SSD.

Asking price for some listings already adjusted down by 3%-5%.

Years ago, I was super lucky to make a big buck in property investment. When a friend who happens to be a economist advised us to pull out on certain specific year, we followed his advice dearly. Apparently his advice remained to be true and were spilled out to date. The property market today is attractive if one is to consider own home stay or for children. However, if the intention to buy a property to generate investment returns, it may be better off considering other property investment opportunities such as REITs or property developers themselves or overseas property.

Today all my shopping list stock dropping…I love!

I am happy with the news. It benefits genuine upgraders. The market was getting way too unaffordable. Now I can finally expect prices to drop a bit to within my budget.

I doubt the property price will drop much. It will increase but in a softer gradient.
