All About Parent Volunteers (PV)

Just google \"NYPS parent volunteer\" and you'll be able to find the answers instead of listening to all the fake news & rumours.

The NYPS PV form states 80 hours but that's for the current applications. Doubt it's going to increase to 300 hours when it reaches your turn though. -
Thank you zac’s mum & Zappy for the confirmation. Cause I heard from one of my ex colleague that this is the minimum hours to clock to get the PV letter from NYP. Scared me too. I read that most of the other school’s PV is 40 hours and NYP is 80hours. Phew. For a moment I was sweating. Oh wells, guess I shall apply for PV 2 years b4 enrollment.

300 is TNS/AT level.
No upper cap.
More hours = higher in rank.Zappy:

Hi skii, able to elaborate on higher in rank? What’s TNS/AT Level?
Thank you in advanced. -
Hi,
Not too sure if this question came up before. I was chatting with a parent who is registering his child for P1 this year (dragon baby). He mentioned that he has done PV for the school they wish to enrol their kid in. Although the school only ask for 40 hours to qualify for phase 2B, he has made sure that he clocked over 60 hours.
Apparently, he said that there are schools who only award parent volunteers that clock the most number of hours (ie. top 20 volunteers with the most number of hours clocked). So even if one has clocked 40 hours, schools may choose not to provide them with the "certificate" to register the child at phase 2B.
Would anyone know if this is true, please? I’d thought that as long as we fulfil the 40 hours, we are fine! -

I think the rule for any schools that accept PV is pretty clear. Once you have cleared the required hours, the school will issue you the eligibility letter.
It's the eligibility from SHHK that is usually not so clear (although they seem to be cleaning up the ambiguity with their new guideline for 2019 onward). -

AT = Ai Tong.
Tns / kw and etc....
Ie. schools connected to SHHK.
The whole Pv pool is a centralized group by SHHK.
They clock hours then are ranked accordingly by hours contributed.ahleo87:
