The school will inform everyone regardless of your outcome.

My son got through. You don’t have to be in GEP or medal winners. However proper preparation is essential.
Maths Question style is NMOS olympiad type.
For maths good to know Sec 1 plus basic algebra. For science difficult to prepare, must be able to understand what is presented in questions before answering. That’s why exam time is long 1h 15min for only 30 mcqs.

          Hello,

My son got through the 1st round of DSA (Maths and Science Test). A selection camp is scheduled for the 14th of July. Does anyone know how to prepare for the selection camp?

          Thanks

It’s tough to prepare for the camp so why not just let your children go and enjoy it.

There will be a few stations and tasks to perform and they are looking out for qualities such as problem solving abilities, passion and motivation, independence, creativity and communication abilities.

During the experiments, it's good to look at what are others doing to see if you are on the \"right track\" but a word of caution, please read the questions very carefully and don't follow blindly. Good experiment skills will be most helpful. These are some observations from previous batches ..... Good luck to all 😉

hi everyone. congratulations to all who got into the camp round! having gone through it myself and after participating as a student helper for subsequent years' camps, i can safely say that you don't need any preparation whatsoever - you just need to participate actively and have a willingness to learn.

the main highlight of the camp is the various stations (five or so). the science (biology, chemistry, physics) ones have practical components where you may be required to work in groups. there will be teachers on site who grade your performance in not just the experiment, but also in the way you work with other people. there is also an english station (prompted essay writing) and a \"computational thinking\" station that was introduced in last year's camp (i don't recall too much of it, sorry!)

most importantly, i encourage everyone to make the experience worthwhile by having fun in the process! come with an open mind and try to get to know the others in your group.

best of luck to all. 🙂

Dear rrranger, the information from petrichor sums it up all.

                        Good luck to all.
