Dunno why this yr poi ching take up rate not so good.. any reviews on the poi ching sch?
Poi Ching TUR in term of % at the end of 2A is highest since 2006, so I wouldnt say the TUR is not so good.
In terms of risk.
Poi Ching safe chance.
Followed by Gongshang - within 1km but you need to watch the number for within 1km. - good odds.
St hilda this year at the very least should be balloting for 1-2km folks. and could be the first year balloting is needed for within 1km. - low chance
Not much review on Poi Ching on KP forum. So not too sure how is the sch like in terms of teachers, environment, the chinese standard there etc..
Some schools don’t need to review.
There’s hardly any reviews on NYPS, ATS, CHS, HPPS, etc either. Guess it didn’t affect their popularity  -

Agree and these schools usually don't have open house -

So meaning for Radin Mas Primary under phrase 2C, there could be other applicants (PR or SC staying outside 1km) trying to apply as well? Some surprises:
- Radin Mas does not need to ballot. The 24 SCs all got the 24 seats. The 25th kid is a PR kid, cannot get in.
- South View Primary does not need to ballot. The 85 SCs all got the 85 seats. The 86th and 87th kid are PRs, cannot get in.
- Nanyang Pri does not need to ballot. The 9 SCs living <1km all got the 9 seats. The people living outside 1km cannot get in. -

This PR kid, who applied at 2A2 but failed to get a seat, has zero chance to apply again at 2C. Likely to go elsewhere.

Radin Mas 2C confirm will ballot for SC <1km. If anyone else apply, just some jokers wasting time lor. -

For the past few years, RMPS only accepted applicants (SCs) staying within 1 km of the school during P2C. Applicants staying beyond 1 km were advised to register elsewhere. Hence, there was one particular year that balloting was for SCs in the 1-2 km category as everybody flocked to Alexandra PS. Other than that year, this school had been balloting only for SCs < 1 km for almost eight years.
With the change in principal not sure, though, whether the school will continue to accept applications from SCs < 1 km only. -
qms:
2C only has 20 seats, if there are more than 20 SC who are staying less than 1km applying for RMPS, most likely all will have to go through balloting? :nailbite:bbabyblue:

Any feedback on RMPS or info on changes in that school with the change in principal? Thanks. -

I got a friend’s child in Radin Mas. Entered same year as the new principal, so she can’t comment on the difference.
The main thing is, RMPS gives a LOT of homework and academic standard is high. Tests are surprise tests, no date or warning given beforehand. If your child is average to below average, be prepared for lots of tears and to do extra coaching at home to keep up.
