Hi, I am intending to send my K2 DS to LC TPY. He has done his assessment and his result is approx K1 Term 4 standard. I am quite worried as he will be going to P1 next year. So I would like to get some feedback from those parents who has send their DS / DD to LC on how soon can you see the result after sending them to LC? Thanks in advance.

I shared your same concern when first heard my son's standard - he couldnt read many sign words.
When you mentioned K1 standard- is he attending launchpad or lift off level at Lcentral.
For my K2 boy. He was assigned to launchpad book 3 in April. Teacher in charge shared that he is good at phonics. Once he memories all the sign words he is ready to go liftoff.
He joined lift off in July. Now 1 month plus.. there is 10 words spellings n 2 stories weekly that he must practised 3x at home daily. His decoding effort can be seen. He also have 100 sign words to continue to learn.. I guessed on my part.. we worked hard at home too.. I think when I get to purchase the pri school textbook.. will also work with him more to practise.
There are alot of words he is learning
Can/could. Come/came. See/saw
From basic who what where why when how here there now his her he she etc.. when he first read know, want - he read wrongly. PRACTISE N PRACTISE. In our cc, there is no spelling ! So LCENTRAL helped us in that areas

I was informed that I can use my referral code not only for Punggol but also Jurong East, Woodlands,Serangoon, Tiong Bahru and Tampines- so I can Pm u if u are taking Jurong branch.


Not sure about jurong teachers.. But both my boys 1 from launchpad promoted to lift off n 1 from foundation to launchpad.. altogether have experiences w 3 teachers. All the teachers are very professional n engaging. They will provide feedback on child behaviour and learning progress. Launchpad teaching will also involved fun using games to learn phonics. We went into the class last 15min of class lesson 1 n teacher explained on what was taught n types of activities played.
