Lexy…just wondering how do u post a table on KSP? Is it you have to prepare it in Excel then convert to PDF and upload as image?
I am considering preparing & posting my table of affiliated secondary schools cut-off points. -

I am a strong believer in data.
However I spent months by staring at those birth data (with order with ethics etc) but I couldn’t figure out the correlation..
The big confusion is: how to predict how many vacancy left for 2b/2c...
By looking at past data, phase 1 will account from 45% to 55% etc for one particular school and in the end the vacancy left for 2b/2c is quite different...
This makes quite difference in the TUR as the vacancy left is the denominator....

Hi, fellow parents, may I seek advice on which school to register for 2C (Singapore Citizen) for my child. I'd registered him under Phase 2A1 with a school in Hougang buts its 45min bus ride away. So am looking for a school which is nearer.
Within 1km
1) PUNGGOL GREEN PRIMARY SCHOOL (high chance of balloting for <1km based on Lexy's latest info https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=91621)
2) PUNGGOL VIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL
3) PUNGGOL COVE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Within 2km
3) EDGEFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL
4) GREENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
5) OASIS PRIMARY SCHOOL
Within 2km (with high chance of balloting for <1km)
6) COMPASSVALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
7) RIVERVALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Hope the gurus here can help with advice on these options:
\t1. Should I even try for COMPASSVALE and RIVERVALE with is Within 2km? are there any new schools built around the area that will cause the no of registrations to decrease?)
\t2. Should I even try registering with EDGEFIELD, GREENDALE, OASIS? or
\t3. Just focus on those within 1km?
Would you advice that I monitor the situation and 1. withdraw from the Phase 2A1 school and then register my child on the last day i.e 2 Aug itself?
I know i'm asking a lot here hope fellow parents here can help. -

One girl of my friend who studied here in p1-p3 eventually got GEP and transferred to Rosyth
One girl of my another friend who studied here in p2 was a TOP 10 winner in the raffles math Olympic test (if I am not wrong about the test)
Not too sure whether it is because of the school.. -

This is interesting to know. Prior to this, I had the impression (after viewing various primary schools' websites) that most schools will only send their pupils for Math/Science Olympiads when the kids are in upper primary, usually P5 and P6 only. So it's truly surprising to read about a school actually sending their pupil/s in P2. :offtopic:
Hi overclk2000, sorry to highjac your post like this. Although I can't help with your decision coz I'm not too familiar with the Sengkang/Punggol area, but here's lots of luck and wisdom to u for 2C. I'll be going thru' the same gruelling phase too :xedfingers: -

It could be another name of the test.
I happened to know the parent of the top1 — her boy is in Maris Stella — true lover of math and not surprise at all to see his result.
And happened to know the parent of the top10 girl... -

So the top1 boy from Maris Stella is also a P2 student as well?
I'm curious because my boy is also a math & science fanatic, so I'm hoping that enrolment into a primary school will open up more such opportunities for him to hone his interests in these areas.

Hi overclk2000,
School in hougang have longer history, should be not bad. But if punggol, can consider punggol cove or punggol view for peace of mind, no stress.overclk2000:
