2018 P1 registration exercise for 2019 intake

same here. I would rather register and have peace of mind than to ballot. having a bird in the hand, we can move on and think of logistics, getting the child ready for p1 in terms of life skills like eating within a certain time, learning to buy food etc. balloting is not for faint hearted like me.
My choice would be (1) if the confirmed space is my 2nd or 3rd choice.
Balloting is always a no-no for me if 3 to 4 kids are vying or one seat in that school.
Good luck! -

Vacancies = 21 right?Just sharing:
Catholic high
<1km = 30
1-2km = 2
Vacancies = -11
So those 1-2km should withdraw and go elsewhere. Don’t waste their 2C chance. -

maybe it's that particular school who doesn't reveal the stats? last few years I do have friends saying their pri schools of choice will have sch admins around the registration area helping parents by providing such info.I just called the school. They said for this year they won't be able to give the number of how many children within 1,1-2 or >2km have registered, even on the last day. Only MOE has the number.
Have anyone experienced the same? -
Yes babe. The avail no. of vacancies = 21.
Ps: you know my situation. This is more challenging than 2B -

Think 1-2 km can register other schools.. seems no chance to ballot..Just sharing:

Thanks kmom. This helps
I think you can wait till last day to decide whether to withdraw. For Rivervale, so far every year it's ballot within 1km. Compassvale, ballot within 1-2km. For schools such as Oasis, I believe there will still be vacancies under Phase 2Cs, so u might as well risk balloting for 1 of the <within 1km> school.overclk2000:
Hi, fellow parents, may I seek advice on which school to register for 2C (Singapore Citizen) for my child. I'd registered him under Phase 2A1 with a school in Hougang buts its 45min bus ride away. So am looking for a school which is nearer.
Within 1km
1) PUNGGOL GREEN PRIMARY SCHOOL (high chance of balloting for <1km based on Lexy's latest info https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=91621)
2) PUNGGOL VIEW PRIMARY SCHOOL
3) PUNGGOL COVE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Within 2km
3) EDGEFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL
4) GREENDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
5) OASIS PRIMARY SCHOOL
Within 2km (with high chance of balloting for <1km)
6) COMPASSVALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
7) RIVERVALE PRIMARY SCHOOL
Hope the gurus here can help with advice on these options:
\t1. Should I even try for COMPASSVALE and RIVERVALE with is Within 2km? are there any new schools built around the area that will cause the no of registrations to decrease?)
\t2. Should I even try registering with EDGEFIELD, GREENDALE, OASIS? or
\t3. Just focus on those within 1km?
Would you advice that I monitor the situation and 1. withdraw from the Phase 2A1 school and then register my child on the last day i.e 2 Aug itself?
I know i'm asking a lot here hope fellow parents here can help. -
anyone has stats for geylang methodist? and st andrew’s junior?
