Parents who had already secured a seat for their children should just stay with their option. hope all parents in P2C manage to get their desired school for the kids. praying hard.. :xedfingers:

agree...parents shouldn't withdraw and add to the 2C stress for parents who have not registered their kids. they have already secured a seat unlike those at 2c.

In reality, many pple will do it. hence really skews the 2C overall stats. There's no rule that they can do it or illegal.
In my kid's ex-kindy, I had known as at least 3 mums who did it - even though they secured a place in 2A(1) & 2B.
Day 3 afternoon last hour will be dramatic.... & hv unexpected changes.
I salute those who withdraw at this stress phase aso… coz everywhere like so packed so i wonder those withdraw r facing a ballot or cfm can get in…

I see a big jump for some schools today. online registration has closed.
don't withdraw your child because it is so unpredictable and nobody knows what will happen tomorrow.
st hilda has 102 kids competing for 20 seats....nan chiau 252 kids fighting for 52 vacancies.
strangely de la salle has only 79 kids registered where there are 123 vacancies :?

some schools like nan chiau are worth the risk and fight. as 2cs they will still have options near their place. if they win ballot, they win big. if not, place is still \"reserved\" in backup option near their place. example, anchor green pri, palm view, fernvale and etc within 2km

clusters like \"nyp, hpps, rgps,\" \"acs',sji\" \"scgs\" don't have strong backup near their clusters. you fail in \"acs/sji\" you are going on a 9km ride to bt timah pri
This is so sad it’s funny!! Why is Bt Timah such a sad back up choice school thou when every school is a good school??

but we're talking about 252 kids vying for just 52 vacancies!

bukit timah primary has always been a backup school when kids are balloted out of pei hwa, nyps and henry park.
there are many foreign students in bukit timah pri.

252 kids for 52 vacancies is alright. As Batman says, there are plenty of options within 2km even if you fail the ballot. There isn’t the risk of being send to Timbuktu 20km away. Plus, all the backup options are same-same in quality. Hence, there is no real difference of having to register at one of them. In such a scenario, people are encouraged to give it a try without fear.

Same for Punggol (Mee Toh), Yishun (Chongfu / Northland), Toa Payoh (Pei Chun / CHIJ), etc.

nan chiau --> anchor green = 450m
nan chiau --> springdale pri = 300m
nan chiau --> compassvale pri = 1.2km
nan chiau --> palm view pri = 1.3km
nan chiau --> sengkang pri = 1.6km
nan chiau --> north vista pri = 1.7km
nan chiau --> fernvale pri = 2.3km

if i was in that cluster.. i too would go for nan chiau as its the \"best/popular/top\" school choice and consider my multiple backup options for 2CS if i fail. It makes complete sense why 252 ppl applied.

Anyone has the latest breakdown and update for Henry park?

35 applicants for 23 places.
1 applicant < 1km
1 applicant 1-2km
33 applicants > 2km

Seriously... would anyone out of 1km apply 🤷
