you still need to go to the RI DSA website to update your SA 1 scores. GAT is required of all applicants

            From MOE website :

            Student Selection for DSA Places

6 Each school has its own merit-based criteria for selection (academic and/or non-academic criteria), based on the students’ personal qualities and areas of focus that the school would like to emphasise (such as science, music, sports). Information on the schools participating in the DSA-Sec Exercise, their selection criteria and their application and selection processes can be found on their respective websites.

            http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2010/05/80-sec-sch-to-participate-in-dsa.php

            From RI DSA wensite :

Step 2 : Submit Application Form With Supporting Documents
Complete the application process by submitting a printout of the application form, cover page, supporting documents and application fee (S$50.00) to the Raffles Institution (RI) Administration Office within 10 working days. For online applications made after 5 July, the documents should be submitted by the closing date of 09 Jul 2010, 12 noon.\t

Payment can be made in cash or cheque (crossed and made payable to ā€œRaffles Institutionā€).
Any applicant in need of financial assistance may apply to have his application fee waived.

Supporting documents to be submitted must include the following :-

Photocopies of Primary 4 (SA2), Primary 5 (SA2) and Primary 6 (SA1) results from the report card.
(Note: If the Primary 6 (SA1) results are not ready at the time of application, apply first and subsequently submit a photocopy of your results once it is ready. You may send it by post or drop it off at the RI Admin Office personally during office hours.)
Records of CCA achievements, additional qualifications (highest level required only), awards, scholarships (for admission on the strength of special talents, if any).
Results obtained in overseas schools (including translation if not in English) for students who were not in local Singapore schools for the past 2 years or part thereof.
            Important Notes
Please note that your application is effective only after you have submitted the hardcopy application form, cover page, supporting documents and application fee to RI Administration Office.

Online submission without the hardcopy application form, cover page, supporting documents and application fee to RI Administration Office does not constitute a complete application. We will only process applications that are complete.

Do not submit photographs or original copies of certificates as all documents/portfolios etc submitted in connection with an application are non-returnable. Please provide valid and working e-mail addresses and at least two mobile phone numbers for contact purposes.

Check e-mail accounts on a regular basis as contact for General Ability Test (GAT), auditions, selection tests and interviews will be done via e-mail.

For more information, please contact the RI Admissions Office at Tel: 6354-9118 or 6354-9108 during office hours or email: [email protected].

Everyone who applies to RI/RGS will be asked to take the GAT, lah. Not bc he/she has been shortlisted.

Only those who apply under AEP or MEP would be asked to take the Art or Music selection tests first before being shortlisted for the GAT round.

Thanks for the clarification. 'cos DD1 wanted to try NYGH and their website stated that the supporting doc (certified photocopies) must reach the school within 5 working days upon on line registration; so I dare not even login to apply - must wait for her SA1 results; make sure it’s good enough to try. Does anyone know if only shortlisted applicants will be invited for NYGH GAT or all applicants ?

                      Hi hi,

Have several questions regarding the GAT test :

                      1. Do the kids need to prepare for the GAT tests?

                      2. How to?

                      3. Are there any GAT practice books that we can buy? What books? And where can I get them?

                      Thanks
