      zac's mum:
      I hope those who are in 2C(S) have thought out a plan for 14 and 15 Aug?

      Eg take leave on these 2 days, go down to your target schools and monitor the breakdown of applicants? Call upon your family members to stake out at the various schools/babysit your kids if u need to.
      Do you mean we can wait around in the school compound to check on the numbers? North Vista is left with 47 seats and that's the only next available option for us. Praying and crossing fingers & toes. For registration at school, are both parents required to go down?

        Yes of course you can (and smart people will do that). Only 1 parent is needed (holding all the original docs). So the other parent can go over to other backup schools to check the numbers there.

        So u need to discuss with your spouse, what happens if all 47 seats taken up, where will you go? Or will you stay and ballot again? Plan all the possibilities. Don’t suddenly get into disagreement in the last hour.

So 1st 2nd or 3rd day apply would still be the same for us. I can only pray for the best.

              So it sounds like you have already made up your mind to apply there and never withdraw no matter what. Then u can apply online on 13 Aug and be done with it.

              As for whether u want to walk into the school at 4pm on 15 Aug to check the numbers, that is really up to you. Benefit is, if good news, then u can sleep well on 15 Aug night.

              Otherwise, you will be in the dark 1 more day until 16 August when MOE updates their website abt which schools having balloting & what distance.

                Sannnz, Will still suggest that you go down physically to the school of your choice on last day of registration to see the odds. If it's really heavily oversubscribed, not sure if you will still want to take the risk of balloting or maybe choose a school that is 1-2km away. After phase 2Cs, it will be up to MOE allocation based on schools that still have leftover seats (you can rank preferences) and which might be further from your home than what you had expected.

                Best of luck nevertheless!

                    Taking tt leave just to wait ard to w/draw if oversubscribed & run to ano to me is not giving yourself that ballot-in chance & the next sch is not exactly your choice school, so not much diff to check for next nearest allocation.

                      Hi All, anyone has advise on the following school?

                      * Fern Green
                      * Anchor Green
                      * Sengkang
                      All 1-2km. No more choice for <1km.

                      I was in a similar predicament 8 years ago. My DD1 was balloted out of NCPS, and when we went for AGPS in the supplementary phase, we were balloted out too as we were within 1-2 km. It was truly devastating at that point to be balloted out twice. We waitlisted and luckily, was offered a place in Dec right before school starts. Many unsuccessful with NCPS (and <1km) will spill over to AGPS since the 2 schools are only 1 bus-stop away. So make your choice wisely.

                      8 years on, both my DC have graduated from AGPS 😄 . Looking back, I have never regretted our choice. Both DD and DS have grown well and the school has given them many opportunities, which we are grateful for. But of course, hard work on one's own is key to having these opportunities.

                      I second anchor green primary. It's a good school with supportive system. Have friend's kid in there and she's enjoying it.

                        all the best to parents in 2CS…however dragon year is not an accurate one to decide on vacancies. for those who have successfully got their kids into co-ed schools, then there is no problem for younger ones.

                        MOE has increased vacancies for neighbourhood schools while some popular ones have reduced a class. so for parents registering their kids in hot year like horse, do plan ahead.
