Is there a Performing Arts DSA domain? Besides Academic and Sports, Art and Music are for the Special Art Program and Music Elective Program. These elective students - DSA or otherwise are put into 3 classes across the level for Y1.

Hi, my girl has gotten a WL from RGS through math domain. Can someone here advise me the success rate of converting to CO? May I know anyone here whose WL was converted to CO ? Really appreciate if u can share your experience with me. Thanks !

Hi. My girl has received DSA offers from both RGS and NYGH. We are in a dilemma as to which one to choose, although it’s a happy problem. If anyone has similar experience in the past, or have any comments on the pros and cons of each school, it would be great if you can share. We have also heard that RGS curriculum is a lot more stressful. How true is this? Thanks.

Do you have CO from another school? If RGS is your DD most preferred school, you can always put the WL as first choice and the other school’s CO as 2nd choice. But if your DD only want to go RGS and no other, then just put the WL as the only option and rely on T score if it doesn’t gets converted.

My point is RGS is a very good school which is capable to stretch your DD’s capabilities. So whatever the rate of conversion, most important is the your DD preference which will affect your choice.

I agree. I do know of a few girls whose WL converted to CO last year on the day the PSLE results were released. I think in general, the conversion from WL to CO is quite high (not just RGS, other schools too). In any case, focus on PSLE, and if WL doesn't convert then at least your dd still has a chance to get in via t-score. All the best!

Personally, I feel that parents should not be deterred by the so called RGS (or NYGH or any other schools) stricter teaching regime. Afterall, when u apply for DSA, you should already be known of this fact… and it is practically of this, That you feel that your DD will be good to be Stretched to maximise her capabilities. While we heard of horror stories, it is undeniably a fact that many RGS (Or NYGH or any other schools) fully enjoyed their schoollife and becomes very strong and capable ladies. Go with your DD’s heart…
