Dear all, may I know where do I get these Science past year papers as mentioned in Pangyx's thread? Really hope to get them so I can have my DD to practice a little for tomorrow's papers.

All those papers (2015-2017 PSLE) are available in Popular Bookstore.
It's compiled into books by MOE by subjects.
The cover of the books look like this:

Thank you very much. However you have any idea, which is the correct one I should purchase?

There are 3 types in this link, namely:

• PSLE SCIENCE YEARLY 2015 - 2017 QNS + ANS by SL Education
• PSLE SCIENCE YEARLY PACKAGE 2015-2017 by EPH
• PSLE SCIENCE TOPICAL PACKAGE 2015-2017 by EPH.

They are the same papers ; actual PSLE papers from the past 3 yrs.

MOE basically just licensed 3 publishers to print & sell them - EPH, SL Education, M.Cavendish.
All of them also have the answer sheets inside.

As for the Yrly or Topical - the questions are the same - just laid out in different format.
For Yearly, the format is just like a PSLE exam - Booklet A & Booklet B.
For Topical, they arrange the question format by topics - Heat, Light, Adaptations, etc.

Which one you prefer is dependent on how you want to do the revision - by topics to see which ones to revise/ focus on … or to test the overall knowledge by doing it in an exam format.

I am surprised why your child’s school did not purchase it for them to do the booklets for preparation in advance. I believe most of the school did that.

Yes. I know this is very very late but I have no choice. I do revision and past years prelim papers from other schools with my DD together too. But chance upon this forum, so thought of giving it a try too.

Yes. Her school didnt got the students to purchase this booklet for preparation. Not sure why. But recently my DD tuition teacher also commented about the school’s prelim paper structure is not good too.

What to do?

What do you mean by school’s prelim paper structure is not good? I thought those prelim papers were set according to PSLE structure?

I am not sure why the tuition teacher said that. She said this when we showed her the science prelim papers after we got it back from the school.

She mentioned that the questions set were not really focusing on what the usual psle papers will have. No "2 in 1" questions too.

I am not very sure of how an exam paper will usually set as. I normally purchase, revise and discuss past year exam papers with my DDs as well as sending them for tuition, so that they can catch up with their studies.
