but if O level SJI to A level SJI, have bonus points right?
Basically Integrated Program (IP) means 6 years with SJI (yes same premise), do not need to take \"O\" levels. After end of 6 years, this will lead to \"IB\" Diploma (different from \"A\" level). SJI IB in Yr 5 & Yr 6 (equivalent to \"JC\") starts to accept girls. No bonus/affiliation points - from PSLE to SJI IP or from O to SJI Yr 5 & 6 IB course.deardear07:
Abit confused on their IP leading to A levels/ IB.. what other routes do they have?
If IP means 6 yrs and continue on to SJI in the same premises but they have an A level route too, year 5-6. That admits both genders with the relevant points. If SJI boy, then will continue on with bonus point for affiliation?
If admitted to IP but don’t do well, can choose to join o level track? What happens to boys who don’t do well? Is there a track record of retaining students? -
SJI does not offer "A" only "IB". SJI "O" students do not have bonus points to SJI "IB". I believe SJI "O" hv bonus points w CJC instead.

Thanks for your prompt reply. :thankyou:
In Yr 3 & 4 IP:
English - Must (more like English Literature - no grammar or comprehension type of questions)
2nd language - Must (eg Chinese or Higher Chinese. No advantage choosing Higher Chinese unless you eyeing for Bilingual Diploma)
Mathematics - Must (Only 1 Maths, no E Maths or A Maths split like in JC \"A\")
Sciences - Only Pure Sciences. You can choose 3 though school strongly discourage (cos usu parents' preference). Minimum choose 2.
Humanities - Only Pure History / Geography. If you choose 3 Sciences, you need only choose 1 in this category or substitute with Arts.
Arts - Eg Music/Arts - - you can substitute with 1 Humanity.
In summary, you will need total 6 subjects - English, 2nd Language and Maths is a must.
Typical combi as I understand is 2 Sciences and 2 Humanities.
That is from memory. Best is you attend the end of Yr 2 Parents' Talk. -

I am puzzled why after spending so much time on BDT, they have no idea how they perform & most importantly, improvement feedbacks?
Report book also so bare min info that i was scratching my head, not even terms weightage indicator for ease of reference. My expectation too high? -
Son just got psle result and eligible for SJI o level programme. Can anyone advice if it is possible to switch to SJI IP programme after sec 1 or sec 2? If so, what types of grades must he achieved ? Thanks

You may attend the Info talk tomorrow for the latest info. Nov 23rd. That would be the best if you got it from the school directly.
